Quinoa is one of my favorite dishes as it’s very versatile and healthy. Quinoa is considered a whole grain but it is actually a seed. You can prepare quinoa as you would other grains such as rice or replace it for barley in soups and stews. Quinoa is gluten free and is a good source of protein.  When preparing quinoa, you may substitute water with broth or tomato juice for an added layer of flavor.
